I've spent the last five years teaching preschool in a Dual Immersion (Spanish/English) setting and the previous five years as an educational assistant for two Spanish Immersion Kindergarten classrooms in St. Paul.
In addition, I have completed all of my coursework toward an initial teaching license (K-12 ESL) in Hamline University's Master's of Teaching program.
Besides my extensive education and experience, I strongly believe in the power of languages to connect people and to open doors as well as a passion for teaching and learning. I am creative and fun and strive to incorporate these characteristics into my teaching and tutoring so that learning is meaningful and enjoyable! In short, my experience, education, and personal characteristics make me an outstanding tutor candidate for your child...and for you too!

My husband is a native Spanish-speaker and we are raising our daughters to be bilingual. In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
Major in Spanish at Hamline University. 25 years speaking Spanish.

Resided, worked in Valencia, Venezuela between 2004 and 2006.
Husband is a native Spanish-speaker, our family uses Spanish regularly in our daily life.
