After working many years in the technical fields, I decided to begin a new career as a language teacher. This seems to be a natural for me as I love teaching and love languages. I have studied Japanese formally and informally for 40 years and am now working on Somali. I am a recent U of M graduate in Linguistics with a minor in teaching ESL. I have tutored Somali adults and children for four years in ESL classroom settings.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I went to Central Baptist Theological Seminary from 1979 through 1984. I did not graduate but have been involved in teaching in the churches I have attended ever since. I am currently involved in writing books on theological topics and will be working on getting them published. My approach is conservative and evangelical. I have experience in teaching the Bible to both adults and children.
