About Matthew

I am a 4th year undergraduate student at the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities, living in Minneapolis and studying mathematics, computer science, and creative writing.

I scored a 34 on the ACT and over 2000 on the SAT, and I am proficient in all of the basic sciences, mathematics, reading, and writing required for high school work, the ACT and SAT, as well as many introductory college courses. I also graduated high school with a 3.8 GPA, earning 41 college credits from AP courses.
I am also a friendly and normal person that enjoys teaching people, and I am good with advanced students looking to advance their understanding further as well as helping with very basic understanding of any subject on my list. I am able to move as quickly or slowly as is needed for my students to learn to the best of their abilities.

I received a 35 on the Math portion of the ACT, an 800 on the Math portion of the SAT, and completed Calculus 2 before finishing high school. I am also majoring in mathematics.

With over 100 hours of tutoring over the past year, I have really picked up a lot of experience. Helping parents attending online universities, helping college students prepare for important placement tests, and helping countless high school mathematics and standardized testing students to succeed. I have helped many people to succeed both on standardized tests and in their courses, and many of my students that I picked up while helping them to prepare for final exams chose to stay with me in to the next school year because of the substantial help I provide. I have substantial confidence in my ability to help any student succeed in any of these areas, and I appreciate every opportunity to help any student to learn and to ease the pressure being put on them by their coursework.

Approved subjects are in bold.

Approved subjects

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
