About Teni

Hello!

Thank you for taking the time to stop by my profile. My name is Teni and I am a senior financial analyst working in the twin cities metro area. I started my academic career as a math and economics major before switching to accounting and economics. I went on to complete my MBA and obtain CPA licensure so numbers are truly my area of expertise.

During my time as an undergraduate student, I participated in numerous tutoring circles and workshops. I was also a resident tutor for my sorority sisters in accounting and economics. I have the technical knowledge to assist with math theory and concrete math; but also the patience and understanding required to be a successful tutor. I understand that math can be a frustrating and ambiguous subject for students, however, I am confident that I can teach in a way to make math understandable and maybe even a little fun!

I am confident in my ability to assist with Algebra 1, Algebra 2, Pre-Algebra, Elementary math, and statistics. I have successfully completed University level math course work (Calculus 1, 2, &3, Linear Algebra, Statistics 1 &2, Discrete Math) and graduated with a 3.9 GPA from high school in the math & science track my school laid out (course work including: Honors Algebra 1 & 2, Honors Precalc, AP statistics, Honors Geometry). Further, I obtained a 640 on my GMAT exam – excelling in the Math section specifically. I have years of experience tutoring students between the ages of 7 and 18 and look forward to helping you as well!

Please feel free to contact me if you feel my credentials suit your needs and we can discuss subject matter and lesson times. Thank you again for stopping by and I hope to hear from you!

My 6 yr old son is working with Teni on his math fundamentals. He has 1 hr. sessions but is totally engaged the whole time. He's already showing progress after two visits. Thanks for your help with our son!
