Luther College (French Language)
Hello Everyone! My name is Marcus and I graduated with two B.A. degrees a little over a year ago. I am extremely passionate about the French language and love speaking and conversing with those that enjoy it as well! I was fortunate to study abroad both during high school and in college in different cities in France and have come to master not only the language but also the accent that makes the language extremely difficult for Americans. I'm patient and have experience tutoring students of the language when I worked as a language assistant in college. Whether you know nothing of the language, have some experience or previously were able to speak proficiently, I'm willing to help any and all levels to assist with the learning of the language. If you are planning a trip to a French speaking country, I can assist with learning phrases and conversational pieces that will assist you in your travels. Contact me and we can discuss what type of lessons you're looking for!

I recently arranged for a week of daily French classes while I was on an assignment in Marcus' region. He developed practical lessons that helped me prepare for an upcoming trip to France. That solid base kick started my subsequent online French studies through my local library. His knowledge of French culture was also valuable. I can recommend Marcus with complete confidence.
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I started my studies in French when I was 17 years old in high school and was fortunate enough to study in France during my senior year. After high school I began college at a small liberal arts school in Iowa, studied abroad in France again for a semester at a French University and graduated with my B.A. in French language (and a second degree in Philosophy). During my time in college I was able to master the language and accent and tested out of phonetics during my first week at the French University. The professors were so impressed with my accent that they advanced me to the highest course possible. I also was able to tutor other language students as a language assistant while I was in college.
I've recently graduated with two B.A. degrees; Philosophy & French language. My philosophical interests include: Descartes, Cartesian philosophy, metaphysics & epistemology and human nature. I have studied many different thought ideas and am here to assist in any way that I can with this subject.
