I have a variety of experiences working with students of all ages. I received my BA degree from the College of Saint Benedict where I graduated in 2012. Throughout college, I worked at a local elementary school as a teacher's assistant providing various one-on-one and small group support to students. Through my coursework I also had the opportunity to work with many students of various ages. After graduation I spent my first year as a Minnesota Math Corps Enrichment Tutor where I worked with small groups of students on math intervention support. I am currently teaching second grade at a school in Minneapolis.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I was a Minnesota Math Corps Enrichment Tutor last year and gained invaluable experience tutoring students in math skills. Throughout college I also worked at a local elementary school tutoring small groups of students mainly on reading skills.
During, and after college I have had many experiences working with elementary students both in a classroom setting and in a tutoring setting.
I am passionate about learning and finding ways that all students can be successful.
