University of Minnesota, Twin Cities (Psychology)
My name is John and I am a former college basketball player looking to train current/aspiring players of all ages: elementary school ages, middle school ages, high school ages, and even college ages. If you are looking to improve your game this summer before tryouts come next season working with me will greatly enhance your chances of making a team, I guarantee it.
Here is my playing experience:
2002-2006- Robbinsdale Cooper High School- Lost in the State Championship to Hopkins High School in 2006. Team included former Golden Gopher Rodney Williams Jr. who is currently of the Philadelphia 76ers along with two other division I players.
2006-2008- Played College Basketball for Anoka Ramsey Community College. Team was ranked as high as 6th in the nation. As a starter I finished #1 in my conference in 3 point percentage and #28 in the nation. I was then offered a basketball scholarship by division II Mount Marty College in Yankton South Dakota. I decided it was time to concentrate on my studies and attend the University of Minnesota to finish my Bachelors Degree.
2008-2011- University of Minnesota- Practice assistant, Golden Gopher Women's Basketball- My duties included demonstrating drills to the team during practice, assisting with drills with the team during practice, going over plays with the team during practice, and working out with players during the summer to improve their game.
I recently graduated with a B.S. in Psychology from the University of Minnesota in the spring of 2013.
Note: Please only contact me if you/your child is serious about improving his/her game. There are no shortcuts in the game of Basketball but the rewards are endless!
Hope to hear from you soon!
