Wartburg College Waverly Iowa
Hello! My name is Emily and I love French! Simple as that.
I have taken French for seven years now, and although that may sound like a lot, I admit I am not officially fluent in the language. I do know a lot, but there are obviously some terms I don't know by heart. I do know many tenses such as Present, Past, Future, etc. and a number of common verbs and vocabulary terms!
I believe I could really help you if you are interested in learning the language!
I am actually double majoring in French and International Relations right now! So that's how much I love the language. I believe it's beautiful and it should be used by more people in the US.
As a tutor, I am very patient, and I will go at whatever pace you would like to go! I believe that one should rather understand something and be accurate than not understand it and hopefully be accurate.
Although my information may say that I prefer to tutor at my own home, I am willing to go to your house.
Hours-wise, there may be a time when I send you a note saying I can't do a session. It shouldn't happen often, but I am a college student and there may be one or two things in the summer I will have to do that will take up my entire day. However, I will do my hardest to make sure I squeeze your session in. I hope you can be a bit flexible with me like I will be for you.
If you cannot make it to a session, please let me know ASAP. I have been in those situations where last minute events come up, so I get it. So don't expect any hate mail. But if you could please let me know anytime before your lesson, that would be awesome! Thank you.
I hope you decide to choose me!

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
