My mother language is French. After my secondary education I spent six months in Germany to improve my knowledge of the German language. Two years later I went to England to a language school. I have lived and worked in a German speaking country for ten years. I have spent nine years in London, England and fifteen years in Minneapolis, MN.
One of my previous jobs was tri-lingual (French, English, German) secretary in an international Swiss company. I have been a Personal Assistant to the Managing Director of an affiliate US Company in Switzerland.

Marie-France was an AWESOME tutor for us. We don't speak really any french, and being a native of France, she was able to prepare us for our trip. She accomplished this by teaching us some basic french for use in restaurants, shops, vineyards, train stations and other areas. Additionally, she helped us understand some of the cultural aspects so that we have the best experience possible not speaking much of the language. In total we spread our lessons out over 3 weeks and did 60-90 minutes each time. In the lessons, we worked with french menus, food items and different situations where we could use some basic french to help us out.
I love our lessons together! I can't wait to jump back into it, hopefully in January or February. Have fun in Europe!
Marie-France was a patient tutor and easy to work with. She was a great help in preparing me for my trip to France, not only in language skills, but also with tips on dressing, food and general life in France. I feel more confident as I move forward with this trip. I would highly recommend Marie-France.
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
