I'm new to tutoring, but I'm really looking forward to being able to help people out and improve scores! I have a real passion for learning and I love to pass on what I know to others, especially when it comes to science. I've had a lot of practice helping my siblings through classes and pass tests and I think I have the right skills to help people work past issues with subjects. I also know a lot about the ACT and would be willing to help students prep for that!
I have completed all math courses offered at my high school (prealgebra, geometry, algebra, trigonometry, precalculus) including BC Calculus and got a 5 on the BC Calc exam as well as 800 on the SAT subject test for Math 2.
Science is by far my favorite set of subjects as I have taken both AP Physics and AP Bio and received 5's on both tests as well as being a second place finisher in the Drake Physics competition and getting 800 on the SAT Subject test for Physics. Physics is my best subject and my passion.
I compete at a high level in track and field so I know what it's like to try and jam studying around practice and I would definitely be flexible about working around that as long as you're willing to be a little flexible with me. I can drive and would be willing to meet you where ever is convenient and you feel comfortable. In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
