Clemson University (Biology)
I am a Sophomore at Clemson University in South Carolina. During my time at High School, I was in the tutor club, and have experience tutoring kids ages 11-18, however, I am 100% willing to tutor anyone who needs my help. I love tutoring because I like to see that moment when someone finally understands something, their "aha" moment, and helping them get to that point.
After graduating High School summa cum laude, I was accepted into the Calhoun Honors College here at Clemson, where I am maintaining a 4.0 GPA. I scored a 33 on the Math portion of the ACT. I have been proficient in high school and college level math, never scoring less than an A. I also have tutoring experience for various levels of math.
I am currently a science major (biology) but in the last year I have taken two chemistry courses, two biology courses, and one physics course. Science has always been my best subject and I scored a perfect 36 on that section of the ACT. I also have tutoring experience in chemistry.
I scored a 35 on the reading and a 34 on the english sections of the ACT. I have always read above my reading level. I received a 5 on both the AP Literature and Composition and AP Language and Composition Exams.
In my experience tutoring, my students appreciated the fact that I could relate to the demands of high school and knew exactly what they were dealing with. I also am still knowledgeable on the ACT and AP tests, both of which I have taken recently.
I earned a National Merit Commendation for being in the top 2% of the nation on the PSAT exam, and also scored in the top 0.5% overall on the ACT. However, I am able to tutor in more subjects than the ones mentioned above; I am extremely confident in anatomy and physiology, history, geography, and psychology.
Please message me if you are interested! I am looking for hours over the summer and am very flexible, so if you need a tutor give me a call! I am a Sophomore at Clemson University in South Carolina. My 8th grade son feels much more confident going into his Algebra final after Jared helped him for a couple hours. He was patient and explained things in a way that he could understand. He also helped him create a study note card.
After just one session with Jared my son feels less confused and more confident. He helped my son break the problems down into problems that he knows how to solve. Thank you!
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I scored 34 on the ACT math section on one test and 35 on the other.
