University of Minnesota Twin Cities (History)
Hello! I am a recent graduate with distinction from the history program at the University of Minnesota Twin Cities. I am native to the area, and I graduated from Eagan High School in 2013 as one of the valedictorians of my class. In high school, I was a volunteer peer tutor in the subjects of history and math, and it helped prepare me for my job as a teaching assistant at the University of Minnesota.
As someone planning on returning to school for a graduate degree, education and life-long learning means a great deal to me. That being said, I know from experience that loving to learn is not always easy. I want to help students love to learn by helping them develop skills that will foster understanding and appreciation for knowledge. For me, my study of history has greatly increased my abilities to critically read and analyze difficult texts as well as write in a clear and effective manner. I would love to help you find your passion for learning!
As a high schooler, I took many advanced classes in the subjects of history and english. I continued my study of both of these subjects into college. By finding what I am most passionate about learning, I have been able to increase my appreciation for knowledge and develop my skills as a learner and apply them to subjects that I find more challenging.
I am generally available afternoons, evenings, and weekends, and will seek to accommodate special scenarios! My base rate is $45/hour. I would love to hear from you and get started on learning together! Hello! I am a recent graduate with distinction from the history program at the University of Minnesota Twin Cities. In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
