First and foremost, I want to help you succeed. High school and college admissions (even elementary and middle school these days) can often feel like a maze; I’ve run the race and I can tell you where to turn, saving you time, money and energy.

I am a Harvard alum from Minnesota who got into all of the top schools in the country with a mix of academic and extra-curricular achievement. I have a continued passion for virtually every subject - English, writing, math, science - and can help you genuinely learn as well as perform well on exams, establishing ways of critical thinking, problem solving, and strategy that will be helpful not simply on the next exam, but in your overall academic and professional life.

In my high school career, I was a National Merit Scholar, scored 800 SAT Math, 770 SAT Verbal, 800 SAT Writing, and became a max 4.0 Valedictorian and National AP Scholar with Distinction (13 exams). I can help you focus and balance to achieve at the highest levels.

I was Class Speaker and President, Debate Team Captain and Homecoming King, so I know how to engage people with confidence, overcoming any perceived cultural barriers, recognizing that communication, strategy, and empathy are keys to teaching.

I have a Master's in Biomedical Engineering with a minor in Bioinformatics. Neuroscience, Psychology, and Physiology were my undergrad majors and I graduated Summa Cum Laude with Honors.

I quickly adapt and customize my teaching style to any personality and ability, whether you're trying to understand fundamentals or maximize standardizes test scores. No approach should turn you away from the subject. You should take away something from each tutoring session that you can use right away.

I conducted tutoring online before COVID so I know how to maximize virtual tools and time.

Please contact me so we can work together to help you achieve your best. I am looking forward to helping you all succeed in school, college, and beyond.

Progressing well..

Thanks to Tapan, Aaron is increasing his Kahn Academy SAT mock exam scores. A couple more sessions Aaron may just ace the SAT. Usually Aaron scores higher in Math than Reading, now his scores are reciprocal, both scoreas are well over 700 so we are extremely happy that both tutor and student.

Excellent teacher!

Tapan is really good at teaching on all subjects. My daughter learns a lot from him. He listens well and solves the problems together. He has involved her by asking questions and let her solve the problems as well. Best of all, he has many tips on how to study on all her subjects. We definitely will see him more often.

Excellent teacher with great organizational skills

Tapan is a very patient and organized tutor. He flew in like Superman and helped my daughter get focused on the important concepts for her upcoming Math midterm. I appreciated the fact that he responded to my last minute, SOS call for tutoring help. To top it off, he is extremely knowledgeable in many topic areas and he is personable. Five stars and then sum (math joke) for Tapan!
