About Dustin

Bio

My teaching philosophy is first about the care for the individual as a student. Putting my heart into the work is what I believe to be first and foremost the most important quality of a great educator. I check my ego at the door, but I believe that my care for the student both young and old is what makes my character real and likable. Getting to know each person for who they are, what they like, dislike, and are eager to learn more about is my focus of care in my teaching.

I have been privileged to teach at various avenues of life and feel blessed to have had a great career of leading, directing, teaching, and coaching. My background in teaching involves young children all the way to adults.

My background in Title I math teaching and tutoring along with my experience in working to build Boys & Girls Clubs curriculum in math programming gives me great insight into how to connect math with students.
My current work is in out-school programming for students grades 3rd-6th.

My graduate work was in the area of psychology. I am working to prepare myself to be a psychology instructor and eventual professor.
My research in graduate school and my personal continued research in the area of general psychology topics are relevant to meet qualifications.
My Psi Chi Lifetime membership evolved from distinguished graduate-level work.

My experience in Title I reading for students in grades 2nd-5th.

I love to teach, learn, and connect with people. I am continuously working to be a great leader and teacher. I cannot wait to connect with you.
