I graduated from Carnegie Mellon University in 2019 with a dual degree in History and Environmental Studies, and a minor in Professional Writing. Hey there! I'm Hadrian, a friendly, experienced, and effective tutor. I graduated from Carnegie Mellon University in 2019 with a dual degree in History and Environmental Studies, and a minor in Professional Writing. I scored in the 99th percentile on the ACT (34), graduated college with a 3.94 GPA, and received my year's "Most Outstanding History Department Graduate" award. I love academic and communication work, and can't wait to share what I know with you!

I specialize in written communications, and I love teaching it! I received formal training in tutoring Professional and Academic Writing at a top twenty university, and worked there as a communications consultant for two years. In that role, I assisted 250+ students in everything from from oral presentations, college applications, statements of purpose, creative writing projects, cover letters, academic essays, PhD dissertations and more!

How do you use a writing tutor? Frequently and often! Don't worry about where you are in a project -- I often work with clients even before any draft is started, which is something that can pay dividends later. Of course, I also work with clients on scraps, rough drafts, final drafts, and more!

During lessons, my focus is on clarity of writing and structure -- something studies repeatedly show matters more than "grammar" to both readers and writers. Using specific "learnable principles," my lessons in clarity, style, genre, and audience will have a lifelong benefit. I work well with people of all types, and it's my job to make sure the lesson works for you.

Outside of writing, I also provide excellent tutoring in a variety of academic and non-academic subjects, including modern ideas of sustainability, history, reading, test prep, vocab, and more. I draw on my own unusual and expansive education to deliver unique lessons.

Really kind and helpful tutor for college writing.

Hadrian helped me flesh out the details for an executive summary I had to write. Would recommend to anyone needing a push in the right direction with writing. Very kind person, and talented and able.

Beyond expectations!

Hadrian was awesome!. He is very very friendly! And you will bound with him immediately! This will count a lot in the tutoring session, is like you are having your best friend who guides you and tutors you!
