University of Minnesota Duluth (Master's)
I attended the University of Minnesota Duluth and graduated with a bachelor's degree in Statistics and Actuarial Science in 2011. I was originally a pre-med student, so I completed the requirements to get minors in both Biology and Chemistry. In August of 2013, I earned my master's degree in Applied and Computational Mathematics from UMD. During grad school, I got 2 years of teaching experience as a graduate teaching assistant. I received excellent feedback from professors, instructors I worked with and, most importantly, the students. I was honored with the Outstanding Graduate Teaching Assistant Award in May of 2013. I'm currently a math instructor at Fond du Lac Tribal and Community College where I teach a wide range of developmental and college-level math and stats courses. Teaching is something I am very passionate about, so I will always put as much as I can into helping others learn.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
