First, a little about myself. I am a graduate of Concordia University- Wisconsin. I took majors in theology and lay ministry. In my ministry major I took concentrations in youth ministry and parish teaching. I am a certified lay minister with the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod. In simpler terms, I am a deacon. In January, I completed the Master of Divinity degree at Bethel Theological Seminary in St. Paul, MN. I took concentrations in Greek and historical theology. Additionally I also completed a certificate in post-secondary education at the Bethel Graduate School. I am currently an student at St. John's School of Theology Seminary. I am studying liturgical studies here. In my free time I enjoy playing with my dogs, cooking, and camping with my wife.
I am willing to assist in tutoring anyone in areas of theology and religious studies. I have a wide ecumenical interest, so I am not concerned about denominational differences. I have taken courses in the wide range of history of Christianity. I have a good grasp of U.S., European, and Western History at the high school and undergraduate level. In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I have several years of experience in the study of religion and theology. In my BA I double majored in theology and lay ministry. I hold a MDiv with a concentration on historical theology. I am currently studying for a ThM at St. John's School of Theology in Liturgical Studies. I have three years of ministry experience ranging from youth ministry, christian education, and pastoral counseling.
