Delta State University (Biology Education)
Eastern Michigan University (Enrolled)
I'm a graduate student at EMU. I recently graduated from Delta State University in Cleveland, Mississippi with a degree in biology and a teaching certification in biology for grades 6-12. While finishing my last undergraduate year, I also taught 8th grade physical science at an Academy, 9th grade intro to biology, and 12th grade physical science at a High School. I also assisted in upper level Human Anatomy and Physiology classes and one section of AP biology. Along with those teaching responsibilities I was also the assistant soccer coach for six years and an assistant softball coach for two. I have experience in tutoring college level biology and CIS classes and was employed in the career center at Delta State as a tutor in 2011.
I have a passion for biology and for trying to help students discover all of the exciting, broad aspects that come along with the term "science." Aside from science I enjoy music, sports, good coffee, and animals.
I have a broad range of teaching experience in many different areas of science and I am also teaching certified. Not to mention I'm a huge science fan.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I am a licensed 6-12 grade biology teacher and I recently completed a year of teaching physical science, intro to biology, and human A&P to grades 8-12.
I find A&P to be a very kinetic subject and a lot of fun to teach.
I'm a licensed 6-12 grade biology teacher and I have teaching experience in both public and private junior high and high schools. I also have tutoring experience in undergraduate biology.
I am a licensed 6-12 biology teacher and I recently just finished teaching 8th grade physical science and 12th grade physical science at two separate schools. Physical science is a great way to get introduced to physics and chemistry and it helps to prepare you for future subjects.
