Eastern Michigan University (History)
Hi everyone! I earned my Bachelor's Degree in History from Eastern Michigan University in 2000. I lived overseas for 10 years in France and England, and during that time, I tutored students in English and History. I am fluent in French, and have personally lived the cultural experience and used the language daily. I am a great motivator, and enjoy working with students. I have also been a teaching assistant in Ann Arbor, Michigan.
I took as many anthropology classes as I could and have studied anthropology and archaeology in my private life including visiting many archaeological sites in Europe.
Knowledge and enthusiasm inspired me to obtain my Bachelor's Degree in History. I have studied American History, European History and Classics. I enjoy reading books on different History subjects, and have acquired a deep depth of knowledge.
I have also tutored Students in English (while I lived overseas in France and England), so I was teaching this as a second language. I am proficient in writing and helping students with any difficult subject matter in English.
Personally, I have two cats (Dumas and Jeanne) who bring joy to my life. When I'm not working, I enjoy museums, operas, seeing movies and enjoying walks in the park.
I am known for being fun to work with and I look forward to our first contact.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I have 3 years of experience as an ESL teacher.
