My love of mathematics began with one-on-one tutoring in trigonometry when I was a Junior in college. It was because of fantastic tutors that I discovered just how wonderful math can be and just how much of an impact a good teacher has on your experience in a subject.

Because of my amazing tutors I went on to earn a Master’s in secondary mathematics so that I could become a teacher and help students find the same type of success and confidence. I have years of experience teaching at the high school level including every course between 7th grade math and PreCalculus.

My tutoring is designed to provide students with targeted and efficient instruction based on deep understanding and not rote memorization. I help students build their confidence and ability to approach problem solving in a flexible and systematic way.

BS in Economics with a Minor in Mathematics
M.A.T in Secondary Mathematics
5-12 Massachusetts Mathematics Teaching Certification
5-12 Michigan Mathematics Teaching Certification

I have a bachelors degree in Economics with a minor in mathematics from Oglethorpe University and a Masters in Teaching in Secondary Mathematics from the University of Arkansas. I have years of teaching and tutoring experience with students of all different levels and backgrounds. I have often had student tell me that they learn more in single classes with me than in years of their math education.
