My name is Tracy. I love tutoring kids and adults in Math. I am a retired Engineer (from Ford Motor Company) and an Engineering graduate from Michigan State University. I have over 20 years experience in tutoring. I thoroughly enjoy explaining concepts in a concise way that resonates with the student so they walk away understanding well enough to explain it back to me.
I prefer tutoring at the local library by appointment.
Most students I have tutored have pulled their grades up by a whole grade or more in a short period of time. I have tutored students in middle school, high school and many adults getting ready for various tests that involve Math with a great success rate. Hi!

Tracy has been tutoring our daughter to prep her for the math section of the SAT. She has been great. Always on time, never misses, and extremely patient. She gives great feedback to us as parents and really cares about what she is doing. I would highly recommend Tracy!!!!!
For providing the quick/great Math support we were hoping for Ashten! Also really appreciate your Lesson Notes.. great way to communicate to students/parents on their progress/plans..!
It is my pleasure working with Ashten. I love seeing her progress! :-)
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I have tutored several students in preparing for the Math portion of the ACT. Each student has commented on how much better he/she felt going into the exam than prior to the tutoring sessions.
Since I have approximately 20 years experience tutoring students in all levels of Math, and the ACT covers a variety of topics in Math, it is a very good fit for me to tutor kids wanting some extra help in preparing for the exam.
I am a retired Engineer who has tutored for the better part of 2 decades in Middle School, High School and some college level math courses, including algebra. I explain a concept in a way the student can grasp it, do a problem or two with them, have them do a problem or two, and then have them teach me how to do one to ensure they have it down before moving on. I have tutored students ages middle school to mid 60s going after a degree; with great success.
I have been tutoring in most levels of Math for the better part of 2 decades. I am a retired engineer who has tutored middle school, high school and adults from Pre Algebra through Calculus with great success, including algebra 2.
I have a Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering. I have tutored in Geometry (and several other Math courses) for almost 20 years. Specifically in Geometry, I have probably had 40 students. I have tutored 1:1, small groups and in the classroom in this subject.
I am a retired Engineer who has tutored for almost 20 years. I have a BS in Engineering. I have tutored approximately 75 students (or more) in PreAlgebra who have successfully pulled their grades up remarkable. I have tutored in small groups, classroom size, and 1:1.
I am a retired Engineer with a BS degree in Engineering. I have approximately 20 years experience tutoring in Math. Specific to PreCalculus I have tutored approximately 30+ students in the subject. All of whom grasped the material much better after tutoring sessions. My goal is to explain the problem, do a problem then have them teach how to do a problem before moving onto the next concept.
I have 20 years experience in tutoring in all levels of Math; so test prep for the SAT fits right into my qualifications as it covers topics from several Math topics.
I am a retired Engineer who has tutored for approximately 20 years in Math. Specific to Trigonometry, I have probably tutored 25 - 40 students over that time with great success in improved grades. Most of the Trigonometry sessions were 1:1 or as many as 1:3 small group.
