I currently work part-time online as an English teacher to Korean adult professionals. I teach up to twenty-four students daily, from beginning to advanced. I follow online lesson plans that are tailored to each student's level. Some of the lesson plans include study of basic grammar and vocabulary for beginning students. More advanced students participate in business dialogue, and discussions about current news events. I provide students with written and oral corrections, and complete complete monthly written evaluations to assess each student's progress.
Also, I work seasonally as an essay scorer for Pearson, a company that grades standardized tests. I read and score the essay portion of tests for elementary and high school students. This position requires extensive knowledge and application of English grammar.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
