I've graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Physics, during which time I tutored the subject to college freshmen (I was even a TA). Inevitably, I helped many students struggling with various undergraduate Math concept, from Algebra to Vector Calculus. I've graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Physics, during which time I tutored the subject to college freshmen (I was even a TA). Inevitably, I helped many students struggling with various undergraduate Math concept, from Algebra to Vector Calculus. Before college, I was not naturally talented at Math, but instead I got there by meticulously, painstakingly navigating around all the walls and pit falls hidden in Mathematics. This means that if you find yourself stuck on a particular math concept, I can likely help you out.

During my own studies, I've covered: Special Relativity, Thermodynamics, Classical Mechanics, Electricity and Magnetism (and Circuits), Optics, Elementary Quantum Mechanics. On the side, I had to learn the MATLAB and Python languages, as well as basic programming principles including: logic, conditional statements, for/while loops, array indexing, functions, and general debugging in the context of these 2 languages. When teaching Physics, I like to draw the student towards real life examples of Physics principles/theorems. I like to do this in order to develop their physical intuition and and real world application. I believe that understanding Physics is so much more than just solving math equations, which is what I loved about the subject.

Why do I tutor? I have always enjoyed bringing people to a better understanding of the subjects I love. As a teenager I began by teaching karate to the elementary school children at my town's dojo, after receiving my black belt. Later, for 2 years of my undergraduate, I worked as a Math and Physics tutor at the University of New Mexico, as well as a lab Teaching Assistant (TA) in the Physics and Astronomy Department. I seemed to enjoy teaching physics as much as I did learning it. Although the path of mastering a subject may look daunting, I believe that if we break subjects down into their components, and learn things step by step, and practice many example problems, our continual improvement will eventually win out over this fear. I truly believe that we all have the potential to reach our academic goals at our own pace, whatever they may be. I'm here to help you get started on all the basics of Math, Physics, and coding should you need it.

Very patient.

Ryan made me feel very comfortable and I never felt judged. He was very knowledgeable in Statistics and barely even needed the graphing calculator for help! Thanks for being a great tutor.
