I am a very easy going person who loves working with people and helping them. Most of the job positions I have held have involved helping people. I have taught Sunday School. I love working with young people. I am a mentor for an elementary student thru Kids Hopes USA. I am a volunteer at Michael's Place at Craft Nite, a place where I can help grieving families who have lost someone through arts and crafts. I have mentored a person trying to get out of poverty. I have counseled the homeless and the community and helped both with financial emergencies thru my churches' community outreach program. I spent over twenty-one years teaching the developmentally disabled skills for independent living. Such skills were housekeeping, laundry, cooking, menu planning, budgeting, hygiene, and shopping.
I have lots of patience and am a very good listener. I am empathetic toward situations and never judgmental. I am very easy to talk to and enjoy a good laugh with people.
I am very motivated to help people improve their lives. I strongly believe in a student receiving a very good education and I am willing to do what needs to be done to help that person along the way.
I have a Bachelor of Science degree in Business with a Data Processing major and a Psychology minor. I have insurance licenses in Property, Casualty, Accident and Health, and Life. In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I am qualified to tutor for Elementary (K-6). In college I had a course Math for Elementary Students, and Art for Elementary Teachers. I have worked as a Kids Hope USA mentor for a fifth-grader for two years. I have taught Sunday School for first graders.

I started taking piano lessons when I was six years old. I have fourteen years of lessons, including taking piano classes at CMU. I also took lessons from a lady who taught at Interlochen Arts Academy.
I love all kinds of piano music, ranging from Chopin, Rachmonioff, Bach, to contemporary.
