After graduation, I was a math tutor for two years at Anchor Bay High School. I tutored students in 9th grade in Pre-Algebra and Algebra 1. I focused on Common Core Curriculum and meeting the individual needs of the students. Currently, I am a teacher at a Charter School and I teach special education students in grades 4th, 5th, and 6th grade. I focus on meeting the needs of students in mathematics and English language arts.
I am confident in teaching many areas of mathematics including: All math K-8 grade, Pre-Algebra, Algebra 1 and Geometry. I am also confident in teaching all subject areas for students in grades k-6. I have an extreme amount of patience and I am able to figure out many different methods for teaching students that not all teachers / people are able to grasp. I love working with students and watching them strive and achieve their goals that they were not able to once complete.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
