I have a Bachelor's of Science in Education with certification in Special Education Cognitively Impaired and K-12 all subjects. I earned a Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling in December of 2015. I chose education because of my love of children and learning. Every human being deserves the opportunity to succeed and can succeed with love, support, and encouragement. As a tutor, I provide love, support, and encouragement necessary to develop the whole student: body, mind, and soul.
I will build positive relationships with each of my students and let them know how special they are. My students will know I believe in them, I trust them, they are listened to, and they are cared for, and they are important to me. Then and only then will be partners in the learning process. In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
