I would be a student forever if I could, because I love everything about learning! I love the exchange of ideas and information with other people, and I am living proof in the power of education to change lives. I started college with three small children, a husband, a job, and numerous commitments on my time and energy. I know how hard it is to do it all, AND I know it is possible. An engaging instructor, interesting subject matter, and a fun and relaxed environment makes learning feel like fresh air for the mind and spirit!
I hold a Master of Science in Business Management from an accredited university. I have spoken extensively on radio broadcasts, women's groups, military settings, and college classrooms. I am convinced that when it comes to public speaking, the world needs fewer salesmen and more story tellers! I am known for a high energy, fun, and fast paced delivery, but great story tellers come in many different packages and styles!
In the course of my career, I have reviewed hundreds of employment applications and conducted extensive interviews. I have used the knowledge acquired to assist those seeking employment to avoid the pitfalls that can derail their chances at landing that perfect position. Working as the Director of Development for a local non-profit, I saw daily census grow from 48 patients per day to 122 patients per day! This resulted in millions of dollars in increased revenue and the creation of dozens of new jobs. This is just one success in a long career in healthcare management. No matter the industry, there are certain principles for success that are universal, and the good news is, they can be taught!
I have the reputation for being a fabulous home-cook, but I can also cook for a crowd. I am known for making inexpensive, easy meals, that look and taste like you slaved over them all day! I love building rich, savory soups and sharing recipes that have people saying, "I could do that!"
Although I have never taught professionally, I have spent my career public speaking, advising on career development, working marketing principles to success, and sharing my love of knowledge with others. In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
Having graduated from a Christian Liberal Arts College, my education had Bible Study interwoven throughout the curriculum. I currency teach college age Sunday School and enjoy teaching Biblical principles with everyday objects!

I have guest lectured in colleges and career institutes to assist students in learning how to prepare resumes, interview for open positions, and retain employment once it is found. As the Administrator over 75 staff, I am often called upon to advise or assist in career development.
