My name is Aubreigh S. I am a senior in college. I have had tutoring experience since my sophomore year of high school, which started when the mother of a friend asked me to tutor her daughter. As a member of National Honor Society in high school, I tutored students after school who were struggling in algebra 1 and 2. Throughout high school, I volunteered to tutor at a local elementary school.
During my freshman year of college, I was hired as an independent tutor for a first grade student who was preparing to take a test to get into a gifted school. I tutored her in English, math, science, and social studies. Unfortunately, the student and her family moved in 2015, so I was unable to continue tutoring her. I am qualified to tutor in ACT English for a few reasons. I am an English major at Lawrence Technological University. Throughout my school years, I excelled in English. I received a 34 on the English portion of the ACT, the highest score I received on any of the four sections.
I excelled in math throughout high school and was on the advanced math track.
I scored a 29 on the science portion of my ACT. I was also in AP Biology in high school, which greatly increased my knowledge of science.
I was on the advanced algebra track in middle and high school. In high school, as part of the National Honor Society, I would stay after school and help students who were struggling in algebra.
As a member of National Honors Society in high school, I tutored students who struggled in both Algebra 1 and Algebra 2.
Biology has always been my favorite science subject. I took two years of biology in high school, an intro to biology in college, and a forensic science class in college that included a biology unit.
I took advanced calculus in high school. While it was not my strongest subject, I passed with a B-. Many students dropped the class, unable to keep up.
