For the last few years I have been tutoring in SAT prep and have helped multiple students with their college essays and applications as well. This year I am seeing more college students coming to me with their papers - a byproduct of everyone being virtual and therefore unable to go to the campus writing center, I'm guessing.

A few personal details: My son is in elementary school and is attending school 100% online. We have to be really careful because I had a kidney transplant in 2013. Because of my immune suppression medications, it's not safe for me to tutor in person right now. I also have a cat, who will probably lay on my desk while I am tutoring.
While reading and writing came easily to me, I understand that it's not that way for everyone. I pride myself on being able to find creative ways to reach every student. This is also one of the reasons that I prefer tutoring to teaching: it gives me the opportunity to dig deep and give each student individualized attention with a customized approach. I love it! You can really see the results!
