About Christopher

This is my first time formally tutoring but I have quite a bit of educational experience in my professional history presenting and explaining new concepts to colleagues, and preparing new employees for the relevant certification exams and continuing education milestones.

Informally, I have assisted many friends and classmates with their academic pursuits, and I am excited to branch out.

Although I am new to formal tutoring, my own academic history is a successful one. I was a National Merit Scholar as a high school junior, and passed AP tests in Calculus, Physics, Chemistry, Government, Economics, and Psychology.

In the course of my university education, I have taken multiple genetics courses. Intro Genetics, Prokaryotic Molecular Genetics, and Readings in Evolutionary Genetics were all classes I excelled in. The readings class in particular was designed around the idea of students presenting contemporary and foundational topics in evolutionary genetics to other students in a form that distills the information in research articles into something digestible and relatable.

I earned a B.S. in Applied Biology from Georgia Tech, with a minor in Biopsychology. While I am qualified by Wyzant in a wide range of subjects, life science is my field of expertise. This includes a wide range of topics including genetics, microbiology, evolution, physiology, and neuroscience, among others.

I love education as both a concept and a practice. I believe that acquiring knowledge, even without direct practical applications, is a noble pursuit in and of itself, and helping someone do that is immensely rewarding to me.

If I can help someone achieve concrete goals for themselves, that's even better. Thank you for checking out my profile and I encourage everyone to see if my abilities can help you achieve the success you want.

If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
