Originally from Philadelphia, PA, I studied pre-medicine and secondary education as an undergrad. I went to Texas for my Master's coursework. I taught Anatomy and Physiology to college nursing students during this time. After the completion of my coursework, I came back to Philadelphia and started to work in the pharmaceutical industry. I have worked in vaccine development and drug product optimizations as a Biologist and a Senior Scientist. I am now in Michigan studying for a medical degree in veterinary medicine (i.e. DVM). Additionally, I am also in the process of attaining my Master's in Public Health. Last summer, I taught high school / college level mathematics and statistics. I enjoy teaching as much as I do learning. I like teaching all science related topics, standardized test taking preps and other topics such as math, literature, etc.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
