Previously, I taught Chinese at an Ann Arbor public high school (level 1 to level 4) for one year and a Montessori school from the preschool level to high school level for 2 years. I also worked with Cartus Relocation company to provide training for their employees and family members who were relocating to China.

I can’t say enough good things about Sue. She is both professional and considerate. Additionally, her lessons are tailored to address the specific needs of the student. Her ability to encourage and inspire her students transforms even the most arduous subject matter into simple, manageable concepts. The lessons are fun, but more importantly you're acquiring language proficiency at an astonishing rate! Look no further you’ve found the best tutor on this site.
My children (grade school age) and I have been taken lessons from Sue for several months. She is a great teacher and very good with people of varying abilities. We have learned the Chinese language as well as information about the culture. I highly recommend Sue as a tutor.
I have two children 5 and 9 who have been taking lessons with Ms. Sue for a year. She has a very organized way of presenting the material which helps them reinforce the vocabulary from earlier lessons. I have been very happy with her available hours as well as willingness to move a lesson if something comes up. I've also been pleased with the writing instruction; it has been presented in a way that even my 5-year-old can follow the lesson plan. The kid's progress has exceeded my expectations, and I could not be happier with Ms. Sue!
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

Every student has his/her own learning style. I adjust my teaching method accordingly to achieve the maximum effects. I want my students to have fun learning Chinese so I incorporate different activities into my class, including online video, songs, games, and role play.
