Hello! I am a 2020 graduate from the University of Michigan and I have been tutoring and teaching for 6 years. During my time in undergrad I tutored students in cellular, molecular, and developmental biology as well as animal physiology for the university’s Science Learning Center. In addition, I have succeeded in several English and writing course in topics such as environmental philosophy and classic literature. Aside from English learning I have elected French for four semesters in college and 5 years in high school and middle school.
I have spent a large majority of my life in the classroom and as the daughter of a special education teacher I have always looked up to educators. Volunteering to be a part of educational programs is a huge part of my life and most recently I was a classroom tutor for the national program America Reads. I believe every student can succeed by learning how to use the resources around you. This is why I taught a freshman seminar titled Making the Most of Michigan this past year. Engaging with incoming college students and teaching them how to be resourceful gave me new insights to tutoring.
I have been a classroom tutor with America Reads for 2 years.
I am a tutor for the University of Michigan and have taken certification and diversity training courses.
