Central Michigan University (Criminal Justice)
I'm currently a senior at Central Michigan University; My major is sociology with a criminal justice concentration, and I'm minoring in Leadership and Substance Abuse Education and Prevention. As a senior, I've been able to prefect my study habits to ensure my success in the classroom, this is proven through my academic accomplishments, which include the Dean's list. Not only am I hard working and dedicated, but I expect nothing less than the best out myself. And I'll bring that to our lesson plans everyday.
Currently, I specialize in tutoring sociology, criminal justice, and writing. Whether you're looking for improvement in scholarly writing, or just looking for a proofreader, I'm available for all writing needs.
My teaching methods are geared towards the student's individual needs. This knowledge is incredibly useful when teaching at any grade level. As your tutor, it will be my job to figure out your individual learning style, and create a lesson plan that is tailored to your needs. Some students may be visual learners, and will learn best through videos and assignments I prepare. While other students are about trial and error; that is, they learn by doing. In this case, I would simply assign assignments and critique their work and provide feedback when necessary.
I'm very flexible with scheduling, and if for any reason, you can't attend a session, I'll be willing to work with you to set up a make-up meeting.
Currently, I'm unable to travel more than 5 miles.
Please contact me with any further questions. I look forward to helping you meet all of your academic needs!

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
