I have a degree in mathematics and experience teaching it at both the high school and college levels. Although math was my favorite subject, for many or most that is not the case. I welcome the opportunity to assist you in understanding the material and overcoming your "challenge."

Approved subjects are in **bold**.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

Included in the many university courses I have taken are Combinatorics, Graph Theory, Number Theory, Abstract Algebra, Statistics, Operations Research, and computer logic design. My undergraduate degree was in mathematics and secondary education. I also have a master's degree in mathematics, and I have experience teaching at both the high school and college levels. At the college level I taught an introductory management science/operations research course and statistics, which included some probability.

A linear algebra course was included in my undergraduate math major and introductory material was included in the Algebra II, College Prep Math, and College Algebra courses I have taught. I have experience teaching at both the high school and college levels.

When I first encountered logic and truth tables, I loved them. Since then I have applied the knowledge to set theory, Excel formulas, and in writing computer programming statements. They were also very useful in a computer logic course I took and I included them in many math courses I taught. My teaching experience includes both high school and college.

I have used Windows since Dos 3.1, built a computer for myself years ago, installed Windows and upgrades at work, and functioned as the help desk person at work (one of many hats). My undergraduate degree is in secondary education; I have taught at both the high school and college levels.
