Hi! My name is Abbie, and I am an experienced tutor in the subjects of English, language arts, grammar, reading, and writing. I applaud anyone reading this, because you have taken an extra step to better either your child’s or your own education. Seeking outside help when it comes to schooling can be beneficial for a multitude of reasons. Mainly, I believe that even with the best teacher some students may require either a unique approach, one on one attention, or simply a new person explaining a concept in a different way.

Here is where I come in! Understanding that each student learns differently, I can customize each tutoring session to their specific needs. I am not a teacher, I am a tutor; therefore, students can feel comfortable telling me exactly how to best help them in achieving their academic goals without worry of offending me or being judged by classmates.

In high school, I received the second-highest ACT English score in my class: a 34. In addition, I have tutored many others in English, reading, writing, and grammar. A former student who I had the pleasure of tutoring says the following: “I never thought I would be able to get my GED because of the 'reasoning through language arts' test. I knew Abbie was good at English, so I asked her for help. She explained everything in a way I understood and would always change the way she said something if I didn’t understand. I got my GED thanks to her.”
