I'm Hana, a current law student, and aspiring attorney. I have a degree in Anthropology with a minor in Biology. I have always adored school, an experience which I find isn't universal. While in college, I tutored part-time at a local company and fell in love with helping students learn. I found that everyone likes to learn, but the school system is narrow and inflexible in allowing people to learn the way that works best for them. It is the love students have for learning and achieving their goals that makes tutoring so enjoyable for me. I specialize in one-on-one tutoring, have tutored students in individualized settings for seven years, and counting. It is this experience that allows me to customize my approach to each of my students, meaning no two of my sessions are ever the same.

My time managing a local tutoring company brought the unique challenge of college entrance exams to my attention. Standardized tests are a source of anxiety, stress, and low self-esteem for far too many students. As a result, I spent my time as a manager learning about these tests and developing diverse approaches for different learning styles. It is my goal to make the SAT and ACT accessible and achievable for anyone. I have assisted just over 150 students (and counting) with their test prep journey. I have worked with students at all levels, from students in the bottom percentile to students who want to bump their 34 to a 36. Standardized tests don't have to be stressful or intimidating. I firmly believe that these tests do not test anything related to intelligence or capability. I think that they test how well you take this test, and that is what I can help you with. I have seen significant improvement in many of my students, increasing scores by as many as ten composite points on the ACT and 330 points on the SAT.

The ACT structures their math section in a very particular way, and the strategies I teach are built to exploit its design. I work not only on math comprehension but also on timing and strategy, which are just as crucial on a section that asks you to complete 60 questions in 60 minutes.

The ACT Science section has nothing to do with science, and that is why most students are struggling with it. I teach the Science section as the applied reading section that it is. I believe that the Science section is one of the easiest areas to improve your score when you learn more about how it is structured.

The ACT English section is the easiest section to bring up your score, in my opinion. I teach students every rule that they need to know on this section, as well as how to keep all of them in your head for test day.

The ACT Reading section is perhaps the most difficult for students who aren't fond of reading. It is even more complicated when every student needs a different strategy to play to their strengths. There is no one size fits all reading strategy, and I help students find their best fit and practice it until it is second nature.

I am currently attending law school, and have a great passion for the LSAT: It's a fun test if you spend enough time with it! It is a test that does not test anything other than logic and reading skills, and I believe everyone can learn them.
