I was born in France and came to the US in 1991. I lived in Baltimore, Raleigh, and Kalamazoo, Michigan is now my home. I have taught French in Berlitz School of language, preparing families and individuals to face a total immersion in France. I taught French and also French customs, culture and cultural differences.
I have been teaching French at Western Michigan University since January 2010, from Basic to Intermediary Levels as well as Conversation Level. I have also tutored many students, children and adults over the years.
I go back to France for 3 weeks every Christmas to be with my family and to keep up with the ever changing French world!
Based on my experience I know what are the biggest pitfalls and common mistakes that English speakers do in French. I have learned how to prepare them and what are the solutions around it.
I have a great sense of humor which helps when the teaching/learning gets tough. I am patient and gently invite my students to keep up the good work.
Please contact me to help you speak French. I am a French native and will teach you grammar, pronunciation and French culture. If you already know French I will help you deepen your knowledge and if you have never spoken a word of French I will help you get there! I was born in France and came to the US in 1991. In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
