Grand Valley State University (Criminal Justice)
University of Phoenix (Master's)
Hello! I'm a graduate of Grand Valley State University with a degree in Criminal Justice. I minored in Biology. From there I enrolled and graduated from the University of Phoenix with a Master's degree in Psychology. Throughout my educational journey I tutored fellow students in math and science. I am interested in tutoring, because I love helping others to succeed. To witness another person achieve his or her goal(s) is an intimate moment that is truly wonderful.
Get to know me a little more: As a hobby I enjoy reading books on subjects such as religion, history, crime, and memoirs (when I need to give my brain a break). I also enjoy visiting museums, crossword puzzles, Sudoku, and exercising. During the day I am home with my two little girls, Charlotte (3-years-old) and Victoria (2-years-old), and our family dog Beans- an old Golden Retriever.
During my undergraduate studies I minored in Biology. I've taken many science classes such as Biology, Geology, Botany, Genetics, Anatomy and Chemistry. My area of expertise is in Psychology where I have earned a Master's degree.
I earned a Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice where I completed courses such as Constitutional Law, Criminology, Qualitative Research Methods, Quantitative Research Methods and Statistics. I also consider myself a good tutor of American history and religion as I have spent several years reading subjects such as prior Presidents, Tombstone, the Civil War, and WWII, as well as diverse denominations of Christianity and Buddhism.
I encourage students to contact me if a tutor is needed. I would love to help, and guide him or her down the path of Success! Hello! In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
