About Patricia

Hi, I have experience teaching Preschool to 12th grade. I have taught general and special education with co-teaching, resource room, pull out, and I have extensive experience with ABA and ELA strategies. My major is general science and math, but I am highly qualified in all 4 academic core curriculums. In the past I have tutored students to take the ACT/SAT, reading, and math.

Currently, I am setting up programs and supervising them for ABA therapy to students. I work with any age and make programs based on the needs of the student, not on what a curriculum says. I use the curriculum to enhance the skills being taught.

ACT Math, elementary math, middle school and Algebra I/II. I also teach Business Math/

Bachelors in Medical Technology; can teach any high school science, but physics. I have my Masters in Ed. within special education. My teaching certificate is valid.

I an highly qualified in ELA. Trained using SIMS, Orton-Gillingham, Four-Blocks, and Language! curriculums.

I would like to tutor students who have difficulty with keeping their attention in school, who need more than the basic techniques of learning (like to do hands-on, multi-sensory, etc.).

Approved subjects

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
