I currently attend the University of Michigan pursuing a major in Engineering Physics. I have great understanding of Physics, and I’ve had a lot of experience teaching this subject to students. I’ve always been interested in Math and Science because it explains how the world works. I’ve always seen that if one wants to learn how anything works, they need to get to the source of the concept, and for science and engineering, the source is Physics. So, if you want to learn anything else in the realm of science, Math and Physics is a great place to start.

Therefore, my tutoring approach will be to help you understand the underlying concepts of the subject of study. Then, with this knowledge, the problems will come naturally. I've found that if a student is struggling, it's not because the subject is too difficult, or they "just don't get it", it's because they don't understand something specific about the subject. My job will be to help you find the things that you don't fully understand and help you to learn them. We’ll work through some problems you’ve struggled with, and they should be much easier to finish after you’ve fully understood the material. From my experience, there is great reward in understanding, and the most difficult concepts are often the most rewarding. I want to help you to understand new ideas so that you can experience the rewards

I have extensive experience in Calculus (I, II, & III), Differential Equations, Linear Algebra, and some Analysis. At the University of Michigan, I enrolled in the Honors Math sequence, which has given me wide-ranging experience in working with others to solve abstract problems. In high school, I enrolled in AP Physics C, and earned a score of 5 on both tests. At the University of Michigan, I’ve taken courses that cover Special Relativity, Waves and Optics, Thermodynamics, Advanced Electricity and Magnetism, etc. I've also worked in the Physics department helping students in Physics I during lecture.

I know some topics can be intimidating, but with some

Algebra 2

I took Algebra 2 in my freshman year of High School, and I now attend the University of Michigan Ann Arbor planning to pursue a degree in Mathematics and Honors Physics. I have extensive experience in Calculus, Linear Algebra, and Differential Equations, which all require a fundamental understanding of Algebra. This includes Complex Numbers, Polynomials, Exponents, Inequalities, Logarithms, Functions, etc.
Calculus,

Calculus

In high school, I took Calculus 1, 2, 3, and Differential Equations. In my freshman year of college, I enrolled in the University of Michigan's Honors Mathematics program, which went deep into what Calculus is and why it works.

Physics

I’m currently attending the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, Majoring in Engineering Physics. I've also worked as a Learning Assistant for Physics 140 (Mechanics), which has given me extensive experience in helping students to understand Physics. My Physics knowledge includes mechanics, electricity and magnetism, thermodynamics, waves and optics, and special relativity.

I took Math 296 at U of M, which is a very rigorous proof-based Linear Algebra course. I also took Linear Algebra at Oakland Community College, so I’ve seen both computation (Math 214) and proofs (Math 217) for Linear Algebra. I'm proficient in Matrix Multiplication, Determinants, Eigenvectors/values, Diagonalization, Gram-Schmidt Orthonormalization, Dual Spaces, Change of Basis, etc.
