I love teaching because I believe all students deserve a quality education and the support of someone who believes in them. Watching children learn new information and come to understand new topics is so rewarding!
I am certified in all subject areas k-5th with a degree focus on language arts for grades 6th-8th.
I have a degree in English as a second language and I have taken part in many field experience that have allowed me to build on my strengths as an English teacher. I have also taught English as a second language in Nicaragua and Zambia.
I currently teach young fives and a huge part of our curriculum focuses on letters and handwriting. I spend a lot of time focusing on how to help students improve that abilities in handwriting.
I have been trained in more than one phonics curriculum and I have experience teaching phonics to a wide variety of learners. Phonics instruction was also a big part of earning my ESL degree.
I look forward to using my talents and knowledge to help students learn and grow! Contact me for more information and to set up a lesson!
