My enjoyment of tutoring goes back years with experiences that not only prevented failure, but propelled students to success in their chosen fields.

I served as a High School math and physics teacher and hold a Permanent Secondary Teaching Certificate in the State of Michigan.

I established a four hospital training cooperative that managed all non physician training for approximately five thousand employees and I provided the formal management development training for all four hospitals. I went on to become the CEO of one of those hospitals and then the CEO of a healthcare holding company.

My entire career has been dedicated to developing and tutoring others while continuing to learn myself.

I have an understanding that math is not nearly as complex as many students think it is in conjunction with the ability to demonstrate its applicability to everyone's daily life. I taught all three subjects in high school and majored in math as an undergraduate.

I also have an understanding that the principles of physics are the bedrock of all science and that at least a basic understanding of these principles makes everything fit more logically together. I taught physics in high school and minored in it as an undergraduate.

Unlike math and physics, economics is an unknown area of study to most of the public. It is barely taught and greatly misunderstood and to understand its principles and apply its logic to our economy and those with whom it interacts, places an individual in a far better position to deal with the complex world we live in. By the time I completed my MBA I had more than completed a major in economics and had an opportunity to apply its principles throughout my career.

I find that the most important aspect to learning and succeeding is confidence. For that reason I always start out by assessing where a student is and then building upon that base to achieve a successful outcome.

To achieve success, my tutorial sessions must challenge without overwhelming, provide follow through with developmental homework, and provide periodic assessment and progress reports.

I always welcome feedback and never bill for services for which the students or their parents are not satisfied.

To ensure that the student has a quiet and comfortable study space in which to work with me I provide space in my home or I am happy to travel to another location if that is more convenient for the student.

Although I try to be flexible with my time, I do have a 24 hour cancellation policy. I do; however, offer makeup sessions.

I look forward to hearing from you as well as helping you achieve success in your studies.
