I have been working with children for about 26 years. I was a basketball coach for grades 4th-6th, and later became a day camp counselor. After high school I volunteered as a leader of my church youth group. While this was rewarding I soon realized that my passion was to serve younger children. I became a Bible study leader for 2nd graders and eventually graduated with my Professional Clear Multiple Subjects teaching credential from CSU Chico.
Soon after I was given the opportunity to teach 3rd graders in a public school. I was led next to become a special education teacher aide which afforded me the chance learn from some young individuals what it means to be humble. Most recently, I earned my Master's of Divinity in Holland, MI. I want to serve as a Children's Pastor when the right opportunity is presented; in the meanwhile, I am working as a Substitute Teacher and I look forward to spending time as a tutor.
My greatest strength is Math, elementary through Algebra I. I have a concentration in Spanish as well. All the best to you, and I hope to hear from you soon.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
