Education, the key to the future. I am a practicing attorney with 20 plus years of experience. I bring more than 50 years of life experience with a BA from Michigan State University, with a major in History and a minor in Political Science. I was a late bloomer, having spent more than 11 years on a GM assembly line before going to college. I believe that to move forward there must be desire to learn, and an open mind to consider differing views. To succeed, you must understand the past, not just dates, but events happening around key dates. This is done by studying the events in depth.
My teaching style has been honed through teaching at Jackson Community College, Davenport University and Mid-Michigan Community College. My teaching style is non-conventional, in that I will not read to you, I expect the student to do the preparation, then we will discuss the topics in depth. I believe in challenging student ideas and concepts and expect the student to support his/her position.
Learning should be fun and I will try to keep it challenging and fun. Take the challenge and learn.
