About Brandon

Hello, my name is Brandon. I earned a Bachelor of Arts in English and History from the University of Michigan in 2001, and a Masters in Public Administration from Central Michigan University in 2010. I currently teach Introduction to American Government at Wayne County Community College District, and have done so since 2010. I also work at Wayne State University in the School of Medicine, for the Neurosurgery Department. There, I work in administration, focusing on budgeting, finance and human relations. I also do work relating to my previous role with the department as a Research Assistant, aiding our physicians with literary and library research, manuscript preparation, editing, and submission. I am also responsible for our department's webpage and social media efforts.

Through my time teaching, I have found the most effective way for me to engage students is to personalize or tailor the instruction to each student as much as possible. Each of us learn differently, and I try to find the methods that help each of my students succeed. I'd like to bring that approach to tutoring as well; I'll take the time to learn what helps you learn, and then apply it to our time together while discussing topics, methods, and concepts. Once we find what works the best for you, we will both be able to tackle any subject necessary.

I am available to tutor in Government, Political Science, Literature, Reading, Writing, and Microsoft Office products that I use for my professions on a daily basis. I am also available to help with the process of paper/manuscript preparation, editing, revision, and completion.

I look forward to hearing from you soon to help you with your educational endeavors.
