I have a EdD from GVSU. I am an experienced educator located in Grand Rapids, Michigan. In my four years in the classroom, I strive to teach in a way I would like to be taught and in a manor that shows my students I care about them, which I very much so do. It is my goal to obtain a History endorsement in this upcoming summer and be fully certified in PE, Health, and History come fall of 2016.
I studied History for three years at GVSU and have a passion since I was able to read. Over the course of two years in high school, I completed a research based Civil War project with my 8th grade History teacher. In the project I was responsible for documenting every serving member of my hometown community and then to find as many supporting documents as I could. During that time, I learned to write grants, letters and formal research documentation. The end result ended up in a local museum.
For the past four years I have been the physical education teacher at an Academy of Arts and Technology.
I am ready to assist you in your pursuit of your goals. Be it for better grades, test preparations or just trying to get ahead, contact me. I can help. I have a EdD from GVSU. In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
