I have had a lifetime love of learning, and that has translated into a career in teaching so I can share that passion and knowledge with others.
I have been a state certified mathematics and physics teacher for over 12 years. I have taught math from 7th through 12th grade as well as various levels of high school physics. Some of the classes I have taught include 7th grade math, 8th grade math (Prealgebra), Algebra I, Geometry, Algebra II, Precalculus, Probability & Statistics, Personal Finance, Physics, and Enrichment/support math classes from 7th through 10th grade. I have also tutored math at the middle school, high school, and college level (Calculus). I also have 2 years experience as an intervention specialist, where i would identify struggling students and then create and implement any required support and assistance to help the student improve.
Prior to teaching, I gained a wide variety of other education and experience that allows me to relate, understand, and explain the mathematics and physics in a variety of ways. My education started with a degree in architecture. I then had many classes in engineering, physics, and business before earning another degree in mathematics and then a Masters Degree in teaching.
I am available evenings and weekends, and I try to be flexible to accommodate schedules. I am willing to travel to your home or meet at a library or other mutually agreeable location. I look forward to hearing from you and doing whatever I can to ensure success in your studies!
