I have an Associate's degree from Owens Community College in Toledo, Ohio. From there, I attended Eastern Michigan University where I was a Math major and a Physics minor at the School of Education. I have an Associate's degree from Owens Community College in Toledo, Ohio. From there, I attended Eastern Michigan University where I was a Math major and a Physics minor at the School of Education. While I had enough credits for a Math degree, I had not completed my education courses. I had passed the Michigan Test for Teacher Certification including scoring in the 90th percentile in both Math sections.
While in school, I spent five years tutoring in the Owens Math Lab. I tutored mostly college age students in basic algebra and geometry. However, I tutored students from 15 to 85 years old. I also tutored in trig, calculus, and even accounting. During these years, I learned many different ways of approaching the same problems. I discovered ways to use student's different learning preferences to my advantage. I started substitute teaching after Easter in 2016. I have guest taught in both elementary and high schools. I am excited, motivated, and committed to the advancement of every student with whom I have been entrusted.
I am a patient math tutor. I know a variety of ways to teach the same thing. I have a genuine love for the subject matter as it was always my favorite and best subject. I am experienced. I have been helping people with Math for over twenty years.
I have always been interested in how the world works. I was a physics minor at Eastern. I have gotten A's in every Chemistry class I have taken.
I would be thrilled to hear from you. I can't wait to offer you as much help as I am capable.
