Hello, I'm Sean! I'm a current undergraduate student at Michigan State University in both the Honors College and College of Engineering. I have an extensive background in high-level STEM education and love getting the chance to share what I've learned!

In high school, I attended a magnet program called the Kalamazoo Area Mathematics and Science Center (KAMSC). At KAMSC, I was introduced to a rigorous curriculum in which I completed calculus 1 through calculus 3 before graduating high school, as well as both the college calculus-based physics classes required for my engineering degree (mechanics, electricity and magnetism), and more.

All throughout taking advanced classes in high school and now in college, I've also been tutoring my classmates. Occasionally, I even tutored for classes I was still taking. I've found success in all of these subjects, and the experience of learning them has left me with an array of skills on how to handle tough material.

Outside of academics, I work as a camp counselor over the summer! I've been at camp for a lot of years, and it helps me because it's easy to get bogged down by engineering and not keep up with a social life or touch grass. Some engineers I know aren't bothered by those struggles, however I genuinely enjoy spending time with and helping others. Tutoring has been very rewarding in mixing my favorite things: learning and connecting with people.

My past tutoring experience has all been one on one and tailored to the needs of the student. In every STEM subject, I have found there is no better way to learn than by doing. My job as a tutor is similar to a personal trainer in the gym: show you the correct form, answer questions, watch for mistakes as you go, and facilitate you getting stronger.

Everyone has different goals. Whether you are looking for someone to help you dive into a subject you're interested in, or someone to help you get a good grade and move on with life, I look forward to discussing what your goals are and helping you achieve them.
